Binance customer service said in a response to user inquiries about losses in AKEUSDT futures trading that AKE saw sharp price swings across the broader market around 05:44 on Sept. 3 (UTC+8). According to the exchange, price action on multiple major trading platforms and on-chain markets was broadly consistent, indicating a market-wide move rather than an isolated pricing anomaly on Binance. Binance also said it does not offer spot trading for AKE, so the AKEUSDT futures price is calculated with reference to spot prices across the wider market instead of a Binance spot market. The liquidation mechanism uses mark price and draws on price data from multiple markets to reduce the impact of abnormal volatility. After reviewing the event, Binance said its system was operating normally and that no issues were found in its pricing mechanism. The exchange described the incident as normal risk associated with leveraged positions during extreme market conditions.

Binance to apply latest price protection mechanism to TACUSDT perpetual contract

Binance said it will apply its latest Last Price Protection (LPP) mechanism to the TACUSDT USDⓈ-Margined perpetual contract starting at 19:00 on Aug. 27, 2026, Beijing time, after TAC (TAC Protocol) showed abnormal price divergence across spot markets on multiple centralized exchanges. According to the official announcement, the exchange will introduce the LPP mechanism gradually through a mark price smoothing mode during the switch in an effort to reduce the impact of sudden price swings and keep pricing more stable through the transition. Binance said the LPP period for the contract will end once TAC prices across multiple exchanges move back into alignment and a stable index price becomes available from the spot market, as determined by Binance. The exchange added that it will issue a separate notice before the contract moves from LPP back to the standard mark price calculation, which it described as mark price = Median (price 1, price 2, contract price). The length of the transition will depend on price volatility and the stability of the index price.

trade.xyz says it will cover liquidation losses tied to SKHYNIX mark price drop

trade.xyz said it will compensate users for liquidation losses linked to an unusual move in the SKHYNIX mark price, after the token’s mark price fell from $1,127.9 to $917.25 at 23:01 UTC on July 27. In a post on X, the platform said the price was derived from an executed trade and then relayed by multiple independent data providers. It added that the XYZ oracle was functioning within its external pricing setup and was tracking what it described as a major pre-market venue in South Korea. Even so, the exchange acknowledged user dissatisfaction over liquidations triggered by the move. trade.xyz said eligibility criteria for compensation will be released soon, with distribution expected over the next few days. The company also said the payout is a one-time discretionary decision and should not be treated as a commitment to take the same approach in future incidents. Looking ahead, trade.xyz said it plans to improve its pricing system for tail events and speed up its review of how prices are formed, including a reassessment of assumptions tied to external venues and whether price formation from its own order book should be considered.

CXMT pricing on Hyperliquid shows a 5.13% discount to Changxin Technology A-shares on debut

BlockBeats reported on July 27 that Hyperinsight data showed a pricing gap between Changxin Technology’s A-shares and the CXMT contract on Hyperliquid as of publication time. Changxin Technology (688825.SH) was quoted at RMB 49.50 in the A-share market. At the same time, the CXMT contract’s oracle price on Hyperliquid stood at $7.31, while the mark price was $6.97. According to the monitored figures, the mark price was $0.3345 below the oracle price, a discount of 4.57%. It was also $0.3771 below the A-share converted price, representing a 5.13% discount. Converted into renminbi, Hyperliquid’s mark price corresponded to about RMB 46.96, roughly RMB 2.54 below the stock’s actual market price.
